1) Sign the Avaaz Petition

First and foremost make sure you sign up in support for a comprehensive European wide study into the feasibility of basic income as a means to transform and update current welfare provision. It should be made clear that signing your name does not amount to an advocacy for basic income per se. The aim of this initiative is rather to allow for a greater understanding of the impacts such a policy might have. The ideas has been kicking around for a while and this would be a great way to gain insight into its possibilities and challenges.

2) Get informed – sign up to our newsletter

Sign up to the newsletter which will be sent out (we hope!) every month or so. Contributors and suggestions of themes all very welcome.

3) Join the movement

We discuss our next actions through a facebook group and a mailing list. Join them, introduce yourself, and tell us how you want to participate! You can also sign up to our twitter feed.

It is not normal that at our century so many people can’t even fulfil their basic needs such has eating and having a roof. I am for global solution. Worldwide. No one should be poor. The ones who want to work can but we should have the choice without feeling bad about it.
I am a singer and I work for so many years without getting a salary so I have to work in something that I dislike to be able to survive and continue what I am good at because it doesn’t allow me to survive. It is so unfair than only paid work is valued. Artists, homemakers, children, retired people etc.. don’t get paid to do what they do but whatever activity you do is work. ll types of work should be attributed. I believe that unconditional basic income is an answer to poverty, depression, death, and it will force us to review why we are in this planet for. Thanks
